Nigel Tissington Photography is in Middle Mill Studio, a characterful creative space set spectacularly along the top floor of the Grade One Listed building of Darley Abbey Mills, part of the World Heritage Site.

The studio retains many of the original aspects of ye olde mill, so as well as having a modern large white shooting cove, and a smaller black shooting area, also has a variety of photogenic 'mill' settings, suitable for fashion, portraits or other creative commercial photography.

The studio's unique character has led to it being featured on prime-time Channel 4 television; on BBC TV East Midlands; in 'Derbyshire Life and Countryside Magazine'; on BBC Radio Derby, and the Derby Evening Telegraph.

The studio has facilities for commercial and product work; advanced photo-editing; studio hire; professional models and a make-up artist, with beauty, fashion and special effects make-up skills with hair-styling.

The studio is a flash or daylight studio, with a fifty-foot long shooting depth. There are six flash heads controlled by radio, with usual accessories including softbox, colour filters, barndoors, fog and wind machines.

The studio has a changing room with full length mirrors; dedicated make-up area with lighting, worksurfaces and mirrors.

There is a mini -conferencing facility including viewing theatre with projector, surround-sound and white-board.

High-speed broadband access is available to clients' laptops via wireless network.

There is on-site pigment printing up to A2.

Clients have access to basic kitchen facilities with hob, oven, coffee machine and other catering devices.

There is easy, on-site free parking. Middle Mill Studio is close to Derby City centre, with good access from A6, A38, A52, A61 and M1. There are a variety of excellent restaurants, cafes and dining pubs close-by.
